"Surrounded by woodland, split only by a long path up to the top of the hill leading from behind the Fen Churches. At the top, there is a tower, filled with that bitter water which flows downwards and out. Here, the great Bird perches at the top of the ramparts"
Description
The Riving Hill is a final hill, leading to the Bird. Up the side of the dirt path is a small stream of water, flowing from the water-logged tower at the top. The woods are so dense, and the path is the only way up. The path cannot be found without the Map.
Tower
The Tower is made from red brick with eight buttresses in an octagonal pattern around its circumferance. The inside of the tower is filled with water, which drips from every single crack in the construction. A ladder on the side leads to the top; a wooden platform with a large perch for the Bird.
The Bird
"Only the bird and the luminary stayed the same, and so began this new age, sustained by the luminary who would come in congregation down to the caves, meeting again with the double-headed bird." [1]
The Bird is fifteen meters tall, tall enough that it can see anything happening below. It has two heads, each trained on opposite horizons. It is despondant apart from when it sees the Luminary Flesh. When it sees the blood, it will cry and fall from its tower.
The Bench
Further from the tower, along the path which no longer leads upwards, but across, there is a bench which looks down on the whole village.
